BALLSCREW DRIVE (ALL AXIS)

Tekcel CNC Routers are all equipped with ballscrew drive systems on all axes,
ensuring 0 backlash, repeatability and long life. Driving the ballscrew are
brushless AC Servo motors – precise, powerful and maintenance free. A Dual
Drive gantry on the X axes allows meticulous squaring of our bespoke Tekcel
CNC routing machine. Linear rail and linear guideway bearings ensure smooth,
precise motion on all axes. These components combine to enable Tekcel routers
to produce precision parts year in and year out.

DUAL DRIVE GANTRY (X AXIS)

TOOL LENGTH SENSOR

The Tool Length Sensor is standard on all new Tekcel CNC Routing machines. It
is located on the front right hand corner of the machine tabletop. This
wireless tool length sensor sets the length of the tool bit when a tool is
placed in the spindle. The tool length sensor provides easy calibration of
tool height offset. This option can be retrofitted to some past models of
Tekcel CNC routers.

POP-UP TOOL RACK WITH 12 OR 18 TOOL CAPACITY

Tekcel CNC Routers are fitted with automatic pop up tool racks as standard.
Depending on the width of the machine, the tool racks can hold 10, 12, 16 or
18 toolholders with tools.The tool rack manager in the machine controller
allows you to specify up to 100 tools and allows you to allocate any of these
tools to a specific seat in the tool rack. The operator can easily configure
the machine for the job at hand using the tool rack manager settings. Complex
jobs can be completed by the machine without the need of human intervention,
promoting a safe working environment allowing the operator to attend to
additional tasks. This option can be retrofitted to some older models of
Tekcel machines.

VACUUM DUST FOOT

A Vacuum Dust Foot is a standard component on all new Tekcel Routers. The dust
foot is fitted to the Z Axis of the machine and encloses the tool during
operation. The dust foot includes a metal tube guideway to attach the vacuum
extraction hose to ensuring a safe, clean work area. The base of the dust foot
is fitted with an UHMWPE skid plate to avoid scratching the material that is
being cut.

EASY ACCESS LUBRICATION POINTS

Standard on Tekcel CNC Routing machines, all ballnuts and bearing blocks on
the machine are connected to remote lubrication points so that components
requiring lubrication can be accessed easily with removing machine covers.
This greatly simplifies the regular maintenance of the machine.

TOMMOTEK Gen III CONTROLLER WITH GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACES

The Gen III Controller with Graphical User Interface is the brain of Tekcel
CNC Router. A massive amount of technology supporting the smooth operation of
your bespoke CNC router is at the touch of your fingertips.

The intuitive layout guides the operator through the job setup, machine setup, and running
of the job. A novice can feel comfortable running the machine very quickly,
and a seasoned expert will have all the power at their fingertips. The Gen III
controller with Touch Screen Graphical User Interface can be retrofitted to
all Tekcel machines.

VACUUM HOLD DOWN TABLETOP

Our Tekcel CNC Routing machines come standard with a vacuum hold down tabletop
which sits on precision aluminium extruded slats equipped with T-Slot
channels. The vacuum table top allows material to be quickly loaded and
secured to the table top with the suction of the vacuum pump. Upon completion
of the job, the material is easily unloaded when the vacuum pump is turned
off. The operator is able to achieve targeted vacuum hold down by opening or
closing valves in the manifold to suit the job at hand.

OptiCAM (REGISTRATION CAMERA)

The Tekcel OptiCAM digital camera registration system locates registration marks in artwork generated by varied source files such as .ai, .cdl, .cdr and many more, to cut paths around images. OptiCAM’s software program automatically re-calibrates the cut path to compensate for any misalignment in the loading, stretching or rotaion that may have occurred during the printing or, in the case of roll-fed printers, the lamination process. Given the growing number of companies that are now printing directly to rigid sheet materials – from foamboard and aluminium composite to more substantial substrates like acrylic and MDF, OptiCAM can be fitted to new machines and retrofitted to many existing Tekcel Routers.

OptiCUT (RECIPROCATING KNIFE)

The Tekcel OptiCUT is a knife cutting system originally designed to be paired with the Tekcel OptiCAM to create a Print Finishing solution for Tekcel router users. It was soon proved that OptiCUT was a very versatile tool. From cutting window film to gasket and insulation material the Tekcel OptiCUT systems can handle cutting many varied substrates. COOLANT ATOMISER

Tekcel manufactures two coolant atomisers that can that can be installed on your Tekcel CNC Routing machine.
The first is our long-standing coolant atomizer, fitted to the Z Axis of the machine, delivering targeted mist coolant to the cutting tool and material through dual adjustable gooseneck hoses.
Our recently introduced high pressure coolant atomiser was designed as a solution for Tekcel CNC Routers primarily cutting metal. The mist coolant is targeted to the cutting area with four gooseneck hoses that are fixed to a custom dust foot for precision delivery. This also allows the processing of multi tool jobs without the need to readjust the orientation of the gooseneck delivery hoses. The coolant is stored in a reservoir fixed to the front left leg of the machine for easy access. Contact us to find out which Coolant Mist System will be best suited for your application. A Tekcel Coolant Atomiser can be retrofitted to many existing Tekcel Routers.

1 OR 2 VACUUM HOLD DOWN PUMPS

Tekcel can provide one or two 7.5 kW Side Channel Blowers with a Tekcel CNC Router. These vacuum hold down pumps work in conjunction with our standard vacuum hold down tabletop, manifold and valve system. Vacuum hold down pumps are electrically wired into the Tekcel CNC machine to automatically start and stop with each job. Our Teckel technical sales representatives can advise which system is best for your application

EXTENDED 300mm HIGH GANTRY CLEARANCE

Tekcel CNC Routing machines can be constructed with a 300mm high gantry clearance. The Z axis backing plate and machine gantry ends are fabricated to accommodate the extra height required for custom machining.

EXTENDED 500mm HIGH GANTRY CLEARANCE

Tekcel CNC Routing machines can be constructed with a 500mm high gantry clearance. The Z axis backing plate and heavy duty machine gantry ends are fabricated to accommodate the extra height required for custom machining. This option is only available on machines that are 1.5 metres wide.

SHEET REGISTRATION POP-UP PINS

Tekcel CNC Routing machines can be fitted with sheet registration pop up pins. Three pop up pins are located on the right hand side of the machine and two at the front of the machine. The pneumatically operated pins are raised and lowered through the operator Touch Screen Interface. A safety feature built into the machine controller automatically lowers the pins before cutting can commence. This option can only be retrofitted to some Enduro and Verso machine models.

LASER POINTER

The Tekcel Laser Pointer allows you to quickly set an origin while cutting a job from scrap material. Coupled with plot file preview, the operator is able to preview the job to verify it will be cut within the bounds of the edge of the scrap material. Eliminating waste and improving productivity.

SURFACE MAPPING TOOL

A Tekcel Surface Mapping Tool is fitted in a toolholder in the spindle of the machine. Following an operator prescribed array, the probe maps the material thickness of the substrate, saving the data to the machine controller. The material can then be cut or engraved to a specified depth, evenly across the material without the disadvantages of a nose cone.

TEKCEL DUST EXTRACTOR

A Tekcel Dust Extractor with its high suction pressure, micro pore filter and high volume flow rate ensures a clean, safe work environment. An articulated swing arm avoids problems with collapsing, clogging, static build-up and wear of plastic hose. A 550 gsm calendared micro pore filter, filters fine dust particles for a clean, healthy working environment. A metal drum on the base of the Tekcel Dust Extractor collects swarf, dust and debris and requires routine emptying. A Tekcel Dust Extractor can be retrofitted to many existing Tekcel Routers.
